Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What do you mean by full and limited registration?
Full registration includes breeding rights, while limited means that any offspring produced by the dog will not be allowed to be registered with the AKC. We enforce spaying and neutering for puppies sold on limited status. Limited does not mean the dog will not be registered with the AKC, it simply prevents future puppies from being registered.
Are deposits really non-refundable?
Yes, deposits are non-refundable but if something happens and you can not get a puppy at this time the deposit can be applied towards a puppy from the next litter. Please be sure you can commit to buying a puppy before putting a deposit down.
Deposits and payments can be made via PayPal, Venmo, Western Union, Wal-Mart or cash.
Why do I have to sign a contract?
Our contract is very simple and covers the basics in the event that something should happen; you take your puppy home and it gets sick, you have to rehome the puppy months down the road, etc. You actually can choose not to sign it but it covers our responsibilities as the breeder and your responsibilities as the owner.
Do you transport/ship puppies?
Yes! We are willing to work with pet transporters but the buyer is responsible for transport costs and shipping arrangements. We absolutely will not ship any puppy younger than 8 weeks old and have the right to delay shipping in the case of bad weather. We prefer NOT to use airlines as the mode of transport. We can recommend a transporter. Puppies still leave with paperwork, health certificate, toy, blanket, etc and plenty of food.
Can I see my puppy before pick-up?
You sure can! We encourage all buyers to visit their puppy before taking them home and we will do our best to accommodate visits. We also do video calls and send pictures and updates frequently.
How do I register my puppy?
If you've never registered a dog before, no worries! It's a simple process. Each puppy is eligible to be permanently registered with AKC. I put the breeder info in, the color and markings, gender, etc. All you have to do is decide on their registered name, fill out your info on the application, and send it in the mail or do it online. You want to register them before they turn a year old. The longer you wait, the more expensive it will be.
